$$ Well Spent!

Ok. Yes, these are my toes. Aren't they pretty? Last night I treated myself to the ULTIMATE pedicure at my favorite spa. I figured since i'll be going into labor any moment now (hopefully), when i'm doing my thing i'm going to have something pretty to look at! But it was so nice to have the whole experience of having my legs and feet massaged and exfoliated by someone other than myself. Especially since I can't see or really get to my feet right now. The only bad thing was that while the gal was massaging my feet (which felt wonderful!), I started to have really bad painful contractions (not so wonderful). Apparently there are pressure points on your feet that will do that. On the way home I was seriously considering going to the hospital after I picked Jason up from work, but when I got home and laid down the contractions stopped. And today I feel great! Oh, well. This kid is just way too comfortable!

Is Less More?

Whoever said "less is more" obviously didn't have Kyla in mind when they said it. With her, more will always be better. Take dressing up. Are one or two tasteful pieces of jewlery enough? Oh, no. She has to have them all. You should see her when she adds her rings, earings, and crown! Too cute!!

Cute Shirts

My sister Raelyn in Maryland sent the girls these shirts the other day. When KD saw hers, she said "Oh Mom, this is my favorite shirt in the whole world!". They're so cute! And the girls aren't so bad either!!

Tiny Dancer

Kyla learned this dance while watching a Little Einsteins video. You can hear KD in the background. If you don't stop her, she'll keep going and going and going.....she's our very own Energizer Bunny. Albeit a very cute, dancing one. It appears we need to teach her what a "Bow" is, though.

Sleeping Angel

I don't know why, but every time I see any of my family sleeping I always think how angelic they look. This was taken last night, and it looks as though Kyla fell asleep in the middle of family prayers with her thumb in her mouth! It wasn't prayer time, but her thumb is in her mouth. Precious!

Captain Kaitlyn

For the next two weeks, the Hidden Island Adventure Pirate Bookmobile is visiting KD's school. Yesterday, a "real" pirate (complete with talking parrot) came to KD's class and showed them all kinds of neat stuff and read the book "Pirates Don't Change Diapers". So when KD came home, she wanted us to find her Pirate Halloween costume and sword, which we did. Then when Jason got home from work, he and KD went to the store and found her a pirate telelscope, and then they made a couple of treasure maps, and an eye patch. He even found her a compass, which does point north incidentally. Then we watched Pirates of the Carribean to cap off the evening. When Grandma Hess was leaving, she asked KD if pirates gave hugs to which KD replied "Argh, No! Pirates don't give hugs!!". But after she changed out of her costume and put her PJ's on, she told me that now she could hug me because she was just Kaitlyn again. Gotta love her!!
